Leading insurance provider, Fortis, will be at the Cheltenham recruitment fair on 20 January to enlist up to 300 call centre staff for its Brockworth office, based in the Gloucester Business Park.
Anyone interested should visit Fortis' stand at the event and register their interest in a position by filling in an application form there and then.
"We've already had a positive response to our recruitment campaign on-line," said Lyn Nicholls, HR Director at Fortis. "We are attending the recruitment day to give those people who want to apply, a chance to meet with our recruitment team and register their interest. Fortis has recently won two significant long term business deals, which has meant the company has a major recruitment drive over the next few months. The leading general insurer has finalised a new partnership with Tesco Bank, through which Fortis will handle motor and household insurance for Tesco Bank's 1.5 million customers in a deal worth over £500 million in annualised gross written premium. In addition, Fortis has entered into exclusive discussions with Toyota (GB) PLC and its insurance partner in the UK, Aioi Motor and General Insurance Company of Europe Limited, to work together to provide branded motor insurance products to Toyota GB's 1.3 million UK customer base.

The new deals will lead to Fortis becoming the second largest car insurer (by volume)* in the UK, insuring more than 2.7 million vehicles.
