Fortis (Insurance, UK) has announced it has become the fourth and latest member of Uinsure's home insurance panel. Uinsure, a new general insurance intermediary, will provide brokers and IFAs with a proposition providing an uncomplicated way to offer their clients household insurance.
Fortis, General Insurer of the Year 2007[1], will feature on a panel providing quotations via quick quote facility. This five-year deal further builds on Fortis' award winning multi-channel distribution strategy.
Commenting on the deal, Simon Taylor, Executive Chairman of Uinsure said: "We launched Uinsure at the end of June and since then have been working to refine our offering by incorporating feedback from intermediaries as to what they want and need from a general insurance supplier. We were keen to bring to the table companies with well known brands and expertise in the intermediary channel; Fortis was head and shoulders above anyone else that we spoke to and are pleased they will be joining our home insurance panel."
