In the event of policyholders becoming unwell with Swine Flu in the UK before a planned holiday to any destination, our policy will provide cancellation cover if the policyholder is unable to travel.
A medical report from the policyholder's doctor is normally needed to support any claim. However as the Government is advising people not to contact their GP, but to seek diagnosis via the National Pandemic Flu Service, we will accept cancellation claims that are supported by evidence of a diagnosis of Swine Flu by the Flu Service. This will be confirmed by way of a reference number from the Flu Service and prescription of Tamiflu that is made in the individual's name.
